I'm back again, with another solo episode! This topic was inspired by a post I saw on Instagram at the start of the year:
“NO ONE is 100% motivated to go for a run 100% of the time. Instead of relying on motivation, you have to make running a habit. Identify your ‘roadblocks’, things that make it easy to say no to a run, & develop strategies to minimize them. Aim for CONSISTENCY, not perfection. Start with a REALISTIC schedule & mindset instead of an ‘all or nothing’ attitude.”
I’ve been mulling over this in the back of my mind ever since, and I wanted to discuss the topic of motivation on the show.
