Into the Woods with Holly Worton

Jun 13, 2022

I'm excited to introduce this week's guest, Robert Bendetti. Last year, he hiked through the Grand Canyon from the south rim to the north rim and back to the south rim (also known as the Rim2Rim2Rim). The route he took was 50 miles in length, with 22,000 feet (6,705 meters) of elevation change. He did this solo and unsupported in just 23 hours, on a day that reached 110 degrees Fahrenheit (43 degrees Celsius).

I’m not great with heat, so I’m not sure if I’ll ever make it over to Arizona to hike the Rim2Rim2Rim. But I’ve seen videos of it, and the route looks absolutely gorgeous. If you want to get an idea of what it looks like, check out the links below for a video.
