Mar 28, 2016

Today's Guest

I am so excited to introduce today's guest, Jillian Haslam. I've wanted to get her on the show for some time now, and I finally reached out this year. Jillian has survived a life of extreme adversity and poverty, and has risen out of it to create a successful business that allows her to give back to people who are still living in poverty. I recently read her inspiring book, Indian.English. and I'm thrilled to have her on the show.

About Jillian Haslam

If ever there were truth in the adage that truth is stranger than fiction, it would apply in the case of Jillian Haslam. In her memoir Indian.English. Jillian recounts being born in the city of Calcutta to British parents in post-colonial India. Jillian faced a bruising childhood of extreme poverty, malnutrition & disease. She lived through the deaths of four siblings and found success against impossible odds. Her story is in the process of being turned into a Hollywood film.

A popular media guest, Jillian has been featured on the BBC, Channel 5, The Times, The Independent, The Pioneer, The Telegraph and other major media.
