287 Holly Worton ~ How to Let Go of Worrying & Focus on What You Actually DO Want

Today’s Guest

I'm back again, with another solo episode! This week, I talk about how to let go of worrying. I'm going to be honest here: I can be a worrier. I'm recording this episode in the week after my kickboxing winter course, which is the colder version of the summer course you may have heard about last July...except this time, I was grading, so the stakes were higher.

I worried about all kinds of things: that the winter course would be more difficult than the summer course, that I wouldn't do well on my line work, that I wouldn't pass my grading. I did plenty of mindset work in the weeks and days running up to the winter course, and I practiced my line work every day at home. But I was often short tempered and difficult to be around because I had this low level worry running in the back of my mind.

And then I got to the winter course, and it was just fine! Yes, it was challenging. Yes, my entire body aches...days after the course. But I did just fine. In fact, I actually enjoyed it. And best of all, I passed my grading and will be getting my brown/white belt in the new year!
